FAQ's

Below you will find a list of Frequently Asked Questions which our Customer Services Department receives.  In order to avoid a delay in receiving a response to any question that you may have, it may be worth looking at the questions below to find an immediate answer before contacting us directly:

Q – Where can I purchase refills?

A – We recommend purchasing refills from www.cultpens.com <http://www.cultpens.com/>

Q  How can I refill my Kuru Toga pencil?

A - Remove cap and eraser from the top of the pencil and simply feed lead in.

Q – I can not find a particular product from your range in my local stationery store,   can you recommend anywhere to purchase from?

A – www.cultpens.com <http://www.cultpens.com/> carries the full range of uni-ball and uni Mitsubishi writing instruments for the UK.

Q – I have your ink on my shirt!  Is it possible to remove it?

A – Most of our pens use “uni Super Ink” which is a pigment ink.  Whilst this brings important benefits such as vibrant colour, fade resistance and tamper resistance, it also means that the ink is permanent and it is generally not possible to remove it if it has accidentally come into contact with clothing.  You may wish to try using "Amodex ink & stain remover", which can be effective in removing small pigment ink stains.  Further information can be found by visiting http://www.amodexink.com/.

Q – My pen has run out of ink faster than I would expect.  Why is this?

A – If you are using a broad tip pen (i.e. 1.0mm ball/tip), more ink is laid onto the page.  This will result in ink being used in a greater volume.  A medium or fine tip pen will provide a greater write out distance.

Q -   Why has the writing performance of my gel pen deteriorated?

A -   The most likely reason for this is that the ink has almost run out. If this is the case, writing performance will be decreased and you may experience intermittent flow of ink. Please see the image below, if your ink refill looks like the image on the left. It is time to purchase a refill or a new uni-ball gel pen. This does not mean that your pen is faulty, it has just come to the end of its useful life.

Q - Are you able to send me free samples of your pens?

A - Unfortunately, we are unable to fulfill such requests.  Please click here to find a stockist of products from Mitsubishi Pencil Company.
