Secure your writing
Pigment ink is superior to the more commonly found Dyestuff ink.
Pigment ink particles maintain colour as the ink remains on the surface of the paper. It is completely resistant to light, water and chemicals and therefore will not fade or be erased.
Anyone who has watched the movie "Catch Me If You Can", based on the true story of Frank Abignale will have seen "cheque washing" and document tampering.
uni-Super Ink can protect you from such risks.
Uni-Super Ink is available in a multitude of different colours including:

Black

Blue

Red

Blue Black

Orange

Green

Light Blue

Violet

Pigment ink Vs Dyestuff ink - The science
Solubility
- Not soluble in water or solvents
- Once dry, can not be washed off with water
Superior resistance to water and alcohol provide greater protection from cheque or document tampering
- Easily soluble in water or solvents
- Can be washed off with water
Structure
- Ink particles are formed with a strong chemical bond
- Low reactivity with damaging UV light or air
Superior resistance to the elements means that your writing will survive the test of time
- Ink particles are formed with a weaker chemical bond
- Greater reactivity with UV light and air
Particle
- Larger ink particles mean that the pigments are less liable to penetrate into paper, and instead set on the surface
Less ink blurring and bleed-through mean that your writing will be more legible
- Small ink particles penetrate more readily into paper, resulting in ink blurring
Pigment ink Vs Dyestuff ink - Demonstration
1.
A uni Signo 207 (containing uni Super Ink) and a competitive product using Dyestuff ink are used to write on a document.
2.
The document is then immersed in a container of Acetone based solution. Immediately, the Dyestuff ink begins to run.
3.
After 10 minutes. The Dyestuff ink has been washed away.
4.
The document is then removed and dried. The uni Super Ink is still as strong and vivid as it was originally.
